Sergio studied classical Piano for 12 years receiving a European Exhibition Award by the Trinity College of London in 2005. At the age of 17 he got accepted at the University of Salford, where he studied Popular Music and Recording graduating with First Class Honors. While living in Manchester he managed to play all around the UK with different bands like "Salford’s University Big Band", "Missed you at the Show", and other bands from Jazz to Rock.
During the summer of 2015, he studied a Jazz course in New York City under the supervision of teachers like, Barry Harris, Dan Cray, Ron McClure, John Yao and others.
In 2017, he graduated from the University of Chichester, gaining a Masters degree in Orchestration for Film, Games and Television. This degree included performing his final pieces with the Prague Philharmonic.
He is also the bandleader and composer for the the Jazz band "Highlands Project," with whom he has performed in various jazz festivals around the world such as, Jazz Across Borders (St. Petersburg), Spring On! Jazz Festival (Porto), Jazz Obert (Menorca), Skolkovo Jazz Festival (Moscow) and many others.
Since 2015, Sergio has composed music for various documentaries, short films, local television, national film and game companies. He has also programmed various scores and worked as a composer assistant for Miguel Angel Aguiló, Spanish composer.
